Webinar 1: Family Reunification for Asylees and Refugees

In week one, we will focus on family reunification for refugees and asylees. We will discuss the processing of I-730s for family members who are both inside and outside the United States. The webinar will cover issues that arise before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and consulates abroad, as well as how to respond to common Requests for Evidence.  

 


Webinar 2: Adjustment of Status for Refugees and Asylees

Oct. 30 | 2-3:30 p.m. ET | CA MCLE 1.5

Special rules govern the adjustment of status to permanent residence for refugees and asylees.  This webinar will focus on the eligibility requirements and procedures for adjustment of status for both principals and derivatives, including a look at special exemptions and waivers of inadmissibility grounds.  We will also cover the nunc pro tunc asylum process for applicants who lose derivative status before adjustment. Finally, the presenters will provide adjustment application completion and filing practice tips.
