Morning Yoga with Kate Adams
This pre-conference exercise class will focus on balancing mental and physical wellbeing and does not require any special background. Even folks who have never been to a yoga class can attend and enjoy it. The beauty of yoga is that you don’t have to be a yogi or yogini to reap the benefits. Yoga is for everyone. The goal of this workshop is to introduce some technics that will help people stretch and relax. We will do some simple exercises that you will be able to use in the future on your own. This will be a 45 minute class that will start at 7am on Thursday, May 18th and Friday, May 19th. For this practice at Convening you will need to wear your gym outfit, but the mats will be provided. Looking forward to seeing you in class!
Meet our instructor: Kate Adams. Kate is an immigration attorney with CLINIC. She has been practicing yoga for 20 years and decided to learn more about it by going deeper to the roots and philosophy of it. Now she is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga for the last couple of years to colleagues, friends and other yoga lovers. She focuses on vinyasa yoga, breathing and relaxation and uses sound bowls for meditation. Last year she conducted a virtual chair yoga workshop at the Convening and those who attended have already met her.
