Helping Families Prepare for the Worst: Advance Planning & Tutorial on CLINIC’s 50-State Resource
As immigration enforcement actions escalate across the country, immigrant legal service providers are fielding urgent requests from clients who need assistance in preparing for the possibility of detention or deportation. Service providers are being told their clients need help with guardianship and power of attorney, yet immigration attorneys rarely have expertise in these complex, nuanced areas of law.
To bridge this gap, CLINIC—along with volunteers from across the country—has been working diligently to create a 50-state resource to help affiliates meet this need.
