Recording: Overview of Non-LPR Cancellation of Removal
Available April 21-June 20, 2025 | CA MCLE: Self-Study
Non-LPR cancellation of removal is an important form of relief that is only available for individuals in removal proceedings. If granted, this form of relief allows an undocumented client to receive a green card. In this recorded webinar, presenters review the requirements for non-LPR cancellation of removal and discuss the common obstacles to proving eligibility. Other topics discussed are the heightened hardship standard for this form of relief, how a criminal conviction can bar your client from non-LPR cancellation, and tips for proving the required ten years of continuous residence in the United States. The webinar also covers some procedural challenges with non-LPR cancellation, including the statutory cap on grants that can be issued each year.
