Recording: Ethical Considerations for Affirmative Immigration Practice

Available April 21-June 20, 2025 | CA MCLE: Self-Study (legal ethics)

Extensive processing backlogs combined with high-volume and evolving law and policy guidance have significantly altered the methods of modern practice before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). In this recorded webinar, presenters analyze the ethical implications of high-volume practice, innovative service delivery models, and other common challenges facing practitioners.

During the webinar, presenters explain the sources of ethics rules and their application to attorneys and Accredited Representatives. Also addressed are common practice scenarios and their implications on our ethical responsibilities, including:

  • Establishing the practitioner-client relationship and limiting scope.
  • Providing diligent and competent representation.
  • Termination of the representative-client relationship, including the duties of the organization and the individual when a practitioner resigns.
