July 31, 2024 | 2-3:30 p.m. ET | CA MCLE: 1.5
Immigration court practice in 2024 presents unique challenges and opportunities. In this webinar, we will discuss hot topics and trends, focusing on newly issued Department of Justice regulations that will shortly be in effect and will provide Immigration Judges new authority to administratively close and terminate removal proceedings in certain circumstances. We will also discuss seeking motions to reopen or terminate based on defective Notices to Appear (NTAs) in light of the Supreme Court's recent decision in Campos-Chaves. Finally, we will discuss a possible change in administration and how this could impact immigration court practice in 2025.
