DOJ Recognition and Accreditation Toolkit: Application Support Materials
On Nov. 3, 2023, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released new versions of Recognition Form EOIR-31 and Accreditation Form EOIR-31A, revised October 2022. Effective Nov. 3, 2023, organizations were required to begin utilizing the new forms. Updated versions of the forms can be found here. CLINIC has been tracking trends and updating our resources to incorporate our best practice tips for addressing the changes we identified between the 2017 versions (previously recommended) and the 2022 versions. In the process we developed six new checklists. We hope that these checklists will provide added support to Affiliates in applying for or renewing DOJ Recognition and Accreditation.
Checklists
- Request for New Recognition
- Request for Renewal of Recognition
- Request for Extension of Recognition
- Request for Initial Partial Accreditation
- Request for Full Accreditation (both initial or partial to full)
