On Dec. 27, 2023, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a final rule that will increase the filing fee for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, in order to adjust for inflation. The optional Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, when filed concurrently with or while the Form I-129, Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker (R-1) is pending, guarantees that USCIS will adjudicate the I-129 petition within 15 calendar days.
The final rule which went into effect on Feb. 26, 2024, will increase the premium processing filing fee for the Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, from $1,500 to $1,685.
Any Form I-907 applications received by USCIS and postmarked on or after Feb. 26, 2024, with the incorrect filing fee, will be rejected and the filing fee will be returned.
