Fee Increases for Form I-485, Form I-765, and Form I-131

Effective April 1, 2024, foreign nationals filing a Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status, must pay a $1,440 filing fee, as opposed to the previous filing fee of $1,225. Further, the I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, two applications commonly filed concurrently with the I-485, now cost an additional $260 (Employment Authorization Document) and $630 (Advanced Parole). These two applications were formerly free when filed concurrently with the I-485. Three separate filing fee checks ($1,440, $260, $630) are now required to properly file the applications.
If your I-485 application was filed prior to April 1, 2024, and fees were paid, then you do not need to pay for Form I-765 or Form I-131 renewals while the Form I-485 remains pending.
