CLINIC submitted a public comment on Aug. 29, 2024, to the Administrative Conference of the United States, known as ACUS, detailing the experiences of Department of Justice accredited representatives as they navigate the accreditation process, the representatives’ interactions with federal agencies, and the need to provide legal assistance to impacted communities. ACUS will use the knowledge and recommendations from CLINIC and its Affiliates to provide best practices for agencies to adopt in expanding access for nonlawyer assistance.
