The Department of Justice has issued a notice of proposed rulemaking that would further restrict the rights of asylum seekers before immigration court. The proposed rule would speed up hearings and allow immigration judges to present their own evidence to deny cases. CLINIC urges advocates to submit a comment before the Oct. 23, 2020, deadline and has created a template to assist in doing so.
