On Aug. 10, 2020, CLINIC submitted comments on proposed regulations that would use COVID-19 as a pretext to deny asylum and other humanitarian protections to virtually all applicants. CLINIC strongly opposed this proposed rule, which is both bad asylum policy and bad public health policy.
