CLINIC submitted comments in response to the State Department’s proposed Information Collection entitled “Immigrant Health Insurance Coverage,” which was posted on Oct. 30, 2019, in connection with the Presidential Proclamation requiring certain immigrants to have health insurance coverage. The State Department requested emergency review of a form to implement the proclamation. CLINIC opposes the collection of information regarding immigrant health insurance, and the use of an emergency Paperwork Reduction Act review to enact this change, resulting in only a two-day public commenting period.
