CLINIC’s Written Testimony to the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship

CLINIC submitted written testimony in preparation for a hearing on July 16, 2019, before the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship titled “Policy Changes and Processing Delays at USCIS.” CLINIC’s testimony described the impact of USCIS policy changes and processing delays on immigrants’ lives, their families, legal services organizations, and on USCIS itself. The subject matters covered in CLINIC’s testimony include: delays in processing of Employment Authorization Documents, its misuse of USCIS filing fees and resources, delays for humanitarian forms of relief, delays in family-based immigration cases, and delays in religious worker applications.
