On September 22,2018, the Department of Homeland Security posted on its website the text of its much-anticipated proposed rule re-defining public charge. The agency’s proposed rule would significantly alter the way USCIS officers screen for potential public charge of adjustment of status applicants or of nonimmigrants applying for an extension or change of status.
In this webinar, CLINIC presenters will review the proposed changes, what they mean for immigrant families and steps you can take to oppose the rule once it is published in the Federal Register.
A recorded version of this webinar will be posted on our website.
