Supervising Senior Attorney

Rebekah Niblock is a supervising senior attorney at CLINIC. She manages CLINIC’s Mentorship Project and provides training and legal support to member agencies and other organizations nationwide. She is based in Columbia, South Carolina. Prior to joining CLINIC in 2023, Niblock worked as a senior supervising attorney with the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy’s Immigrant Justice Program providing direct representation to immigrants in removal proceedings applying for various forms of immigration relief and helping develop and supervise the organization’s Pro Bono Asylum Program.

Niblock also worked for several years as a staff attorney with the Immigration Project, a non-profit legal service organization representing immigrants in central and southern Illinois. She served as an Adjunct Professor with the University of Illinois College of Law’s Domestic Violence Immigration Clinic, teaching and mentoring law students on the substantive areas of immigration law and supervising students’ representation of asylum-seeking clients fleeing gender-based violence.

Niblock is fluent in Spanish and is barred in Illinois. She earned her J.D. from The George Washington University School of Law and her bachelor’s in Romance languages and international relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
