Policy Advocate

Pedro Alemán Perfecto is a Policy Advocate, guiding CLINIC’s campaign and coalition-oriented advocacy work on multiple priority issues. Before joining CLINIC in 2023, Alemán Perfecto worked at Jewish Family Service of San Diego, or JFS, as an immigration advocate/ DOJ fully accredited representative & HIAS border fellow. At JFS he represented clients seeking immigration relief in removal defense at detained and non-detained courts in San Diego & Imperial Counties, including but not limited to asylum, family-based petitions, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and Temporary Protected Status. He also assisted and represented clients during MPP wind-downs, Title-42 and Huisha humanitarian parole exceptions at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

A native of the San Diego region, Alemán Perfecto attended Providence College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology with a Black studies minor in 2017. During his undergraduate studies he interned as an immigration caseworker aid at Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island. After graduation, Alemán Perfecto attended the University of San Francisco for his master’s in international studies. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
