Parisio is the Director of Advocacy at CLINIC. Prior to her role as Director, Parisio served as CLINIC’s Policy Attorney, leading advocacy portfolios on Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, Deferred Enforced Departure, or DED, and the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness program.
As lead on CLINIC’s TPS campaign, Parisio was a founding member of the Temporary Protected Status Advocacy Working Group, a 100-organization strong coalition engaged in administrative advocacy around TPS and DED. Prior to CLINIC, Parisio worked as the legal programs development officer at the International Refugee Assistance Project, which provides legal assistance to refugees and displaced persons from the Middle East and North Africa, and where she continues to volunteer as a pro bono supervising attorney.
Parisio holds a Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law, where she specialized in immigration/refugee rights, mental health law, and economic justice law and policy.
