Mexicano Furmanska is a Senior Attorney with CLINIC based outside of Los Angeles. She provides training and technical assistance on immigration law. Mexicano Furmanska joined CLINIC in 2021 after eight years of practice in immigration law, focusing primarily on humanitarian forms of relief, including Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, asylum, U and T Visas, and the Violence Against Women Act, or VAWA. She worked at several Los Angeles-area nonprofits, including Bet Tzedek Legal Services, CARECEN-LA and Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project.

Mexicano Furmanska received her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and is a graduate of Loyola Law School. She is a member of the California Bar and admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
