Available Oct. 10 - Dec. 9, 2024 | CA MCLE: Self-Study
Immigration court practice in 2024 presents unique challenges and opportunities. In this recorded webinar, available for limited-time viewing, presenters discuss hot topics and trends, focusing on newly issued Department of Justice regulations that provide Immigration Judges new authority to administratively close and terminate removal proceedings in certain circumstances. Presenters also discuss seeking motions to reopen or terminate based on defective Notices to Appear (NTAs) in light of the Supreme Court's recent decision in Campos-Chaves. Finally, presenters consider a possible change in administration and how this could impact immigration court practice in 2025.
