Inclusive, Compassionate and Culturally Competent Support at the State and Local Level During COVID-19

Does your local community provide COVID-19 relief such as monetary aid, food or other assistance that is inclusive of the most vulnerable? Has access to health care, online learning and other needs been culturally competent? Has relevant information been distributed to immigrant communities to address fears of immigration repercussions? Immigrants have been left particularly vulnerable in this moment — being cut out of many support systems. Even when included, fear of reprisal has kept immigrants from accessing things like COVID-19 testing and vaccinations. This panel will address how various local governments, organizations and communities have responded to the growing needs during this pandemic.
