Public Charge and Health Insurance Proclamation
Litigation has challenged the administration’s efforts to implement an onerous public charge standard for both adjustment of status as well as immigrant visa applicants. In addition, it has issued an executive action requiring almost all immigrant visa applicants to verify enrollment in an acceptable health insurance program or the intention to do so within 30 days of immigrating. This workshop will provide updated information concerning those administrative efforts and legal challenges. It will also provide practical ways to represent your clients in the current environment.
