The February 2014 Visa Bulletin shows some backpedaling in the F-2B category for Mexico. Retrogression occurs when the anticipated demand for immigrant visas in a specific category outstrips the supply. For February, the F-2B category for Mexico moved backward from April 1, 1994 to May 1, 1993. In addition, the Visa Office anticipates that the F-2A category for Mexico will likely retrogress this spring. It also predicts that the F-2A worldwide visa category will retrogress before the end of the fiscal year. The date for F-2A applicants – September 8, 2013 – has remained unchanged since October 2013. Only applicants with priority dates preceding that date are considered current.
