Sister Ruth Anne Harkins, IHM is the Associate Campus Minister for Graduate and Professional Students at the Catholic University of America. She has been a member of the Congregation of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scranton, PA for 37 years. She has taught social studies in various high schools for ten years and has served as coordinator for HIV/AIDS ministry for the Diocese of Camden, NJ for six years. Her ten years as vocation director for the IHM Congregation have revitalized her passion for religious life and communal living.
Ruth holds a MA in Pastoral Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy and a Certificate in Spiritual Leadership. She completed a Doctor of Ministry in Adult Spiritual Formation from The Catholic University of America in 2013. She had facilitated Immersion Trips during the summer and spring break for the past six years. She has also a theology course Theology of Mission: Service in Charity & Justice for students who attend the Border Immersion Trip.
