This training will help agencies sustain the momentum we had leading up to the Supreme Court’s June decision, which continues to block the implementation of DAPA and expanded DACA. There are still many actions immigration legal service providers and their allies can take.

In this training you will participate in a vigorous participant-centered
learning experience. We will:

  • improve your group processing techniques, including
  • screening for immigration benefits;
  • demonstrate how CLINIC’s network of over 300 affiliates has
    proven that charging fees ensures program sustainability and
    explain how to implement this best practice;
  • show how you can expland your immigration legal services
    through web-based training;
  • cover Board of Immigration Appeals Recognition and
    Accreditation; and
  • explain the recently announced expansion of the provisional
    waiver program.

The training is suitable for program staff from a wide range of organizations, including established immigration programs; libraries and other municipal government entities; job training programs; ethnic and immigrant organizations; domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions and service providers; unions; social services and medical providers; and educational programs (ESL, citizenship, adult
schools, and community colleges).
