A free two-part webinar outlining strategies for fighting ICE ACCESS programs in local communities. The second webinar, Wednesday May 4th, from 2 pm EST to 3:30 pm EST, will present ideas for how to use the information gathered through the tactics described in Part One to mount impactful campaigns against ICE ACCESS programs. Presenters will describe strategies in policy, legislation, litigation, and messaging, and offer examples of ways that other communities have combined these strategies to target particular audiences in particular political climates.
The webinars are designed for local groups and community members from diverse fields – including immigration, labor, faith, and criminal justice – interested in working against ICE enforcement in their communities. They are not open to government officials or members of the media.
The webinars are sponsored by Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), Detention Watch Network, Immigrant Justice Network, Immigrant Defense Project, Immigrant Legal Resource Center, The National Immigration Law Center, The National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, Rights Working Group, and The Washington Defenders Association’s Immigration Project.
