The Supreme Court will soon decide a key aspect of the Child Status Protection Act: whether aged-out derivative children will be able to retain the priority date when a new petition is filed in their behalf. Please join us on a webinar explaining the Court's decision and its impact on family-based immigration. We will also cover all other elements of the CSPA: its effect on immediate relatives, applying the age-reduction formula to F-2A beneficiaries and derivatives in the preference categories, satisfying the one-year filing requirement, and the consequences of the petitioner's naturalizing. The presenters will include Charles Wheeler, author of AILA's Focus on the Child Status Protection Act, and Debbie Smith, Senior Attorney, CLINIC's Training and Legal Support section. Charles and Debbie contributed to CLINIC's amicus brief to the Supreme Court in the CSPA case that the Court will decide soon.
