Carrington is CLINIC’S Grant Manager and is responsible for helping the Advancement section with every step of the grant applications process. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. Carrington has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 30 years, serving as a mental health administrator, director of development and executive director of several nonprofits. In her role as executive director of the Schull Institute, Carrington established mentoring programs for medical scholars and mid-career healthcare practitioners and marshaled the efforts to preserve the work of William J. Schull, PhD, with the World Health Organization.
Ms. Carrington spent more than 20 years of her tenure in the nonprofit sector as a fundraising executive, where she raised more than $160 million to help fund universities, hospitals, Head Start, community-based organizations and Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers.
