October was a busy month for immigration related news. Rep. Gutierrez (D-IL) unveiled his proposal for a comprehensive immigration reform bill, CNN ran a series titled “Latinos in America” that upset some over CNN’s lack of acknowledgment of their own anchor Lou Dobbs, and the Supreme Court prepared to hear two immigration-related cases. - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has begun preparing for a large influx of visa applications if Congress were to pass comprehensive immigration reform.
