This webinar will describe jurisdiction for BIA appeals, logistics of filing with the BIA, resources on content and formatting of briefs, standard of review on appeal, treatment of new evidence on appeal, and strategies on how to avoid affirmance without opinion by the BIA. CLINIC attorneys Ann Atalla and Peggy Gleason will also detail practice tips on writing effective appeal briefs to the BIA.

The Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) is authorized by the State Bar of California to provide minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) trainings. Attendees are eligible to claim 1.5 hours of MCLE credits. A certificate of attendance with the stated MCLE credit hours is provided after the conclusion (within 24-48 hours) of the webinar for applicants to use to apply for these credits.
